Why local action matters Good people. Better together. New Zealand has committed to net-zero emissions by mid-century — but the window is closing fast. Individual choices matter, but the laws, policies, and budgets set by our local and national representatives have an outsized impact. We exist to make sure Kāpiti’s voice is heard in those rooms.
We are independent of Council, fully volunteer-run, and open to anyone who cares. You can engage at whatever level suits you — from signing a petition to joining a committee.
