This was the final workshop before the big day! This was a quiet one with people dropping in and out over the hour, delivering some finished models, collecting extra bricks and building jobs and getting their photographs taken. The creations are looking really good, with lots of great ideas built in. I can tell people have picked up a few building tricks over the past few months. We’re all looking forward to seeing it all assembled together in less than a week’s time! Details of the assembly day are included on the slides below and on this page.

Lego project workshop four 17-3-18
Less that two weeks to go to assembly day – Eeek! Luckily some builders have already finished some awesome models. We checked them out, got photographs and descriptions, discussed our plans collected bricks and solar-panel stickers. Some of the builders helped add detail to our sand dune model. Check out the pics!
Lego project workshop three – 10-3-2018
We had our biggest group yet along. There were some great models people had bought in to admire. People were allocated spaces in the layout plan for the final display to build out, and got their allocation of free bricks from the project supply to take home. Check out the pictures and slides.
Lego project workshop two 3-3-18
At this workshop we saw the creations people had been working on and had a lesson on building sideways with ‘SNOT’ (Studs Not On Top) bricks. We also learnt more about the layout and how the project will work. Pictures and slides are below.
All builders (or their guardians) should have a read of the slides below and a think about what they want to build, and what they think they can successfully produce before the big assembly day on 29 March. Then complete this form so I know what you are up for and what you need (special parts). I will be allocating spaces in the display case to builders this week!
